  1. hmmm…

I read his journal a little further back…and he talks about slowing down on the number of nrc races etc that he’s doing. In light of that, the pay “cut” doesn’t seem that barbaric…

BUt who knows whats going on in that crazy world.

  2. sweetie, i know you’re just goading me ….

the injustice, of course, is that a team rivaling the spotlight of ProTour teams has a member of the squad making squat in regards to scratch.

    that’s not right.

every rider on Quickstep or Liquigas or even Barloworld gets a paycheck – get’s sucked into a program where they are at least valued for the services of dometiquery that can be provided … or, {gasp} as an investment for future development (/exploitation?).

but here Ball is rockin’ the race world with his lavish orgies of synthetic rebellion … tossing cash down D-cups faster than a plastic surgery melodramarama on FoxTv.

and Sterling is dodging lexus’ down the streets of lo-cal.

    right on, right on.

  3. fishes still take bait, even when they can see the hook.

What division of team are they? Do they fall under any UCI rules on this?

And here’s another hook. Why does Sterling stay? Is the glitz and glamour of the team worth getting the shaft?

Makes me wonder about the other young riders on the team…

  4. What makes you think that every rider on Quickstep Barloworld etc gets paid. I happen to know for a fact that some of those riders don’t make anything. There are ways around the minimum salary rule

  5. careful for that forest while you’re sniffing for that tree …

Care to elaborate? Cause I reckon that thars some BS fellar.

Michael, I agree. Rock Racing so efficiently typifies what is wrong in this often piggish, greed based world. I cant believe how gaudy and ridiculous there schtick is. I suppose it works though, cause like a hundred car tule fog induced bloody pileup, you look.

Sad to me that talented, clean young men with integrity and soul – are cast aside so Team Operation Puerto Reunion p/b Banque de Sangre can grab the limelight. Maybe guys like Sterling and Rashaan can find their way to a team like Slipstream. Granted there are some opportunistic turds in THAT program, but nonetheless. Incidentally, I’d have to say the argyle Slipstream kits have got to be the antithesis of the Rock garb. Poetic, maybe eh?

The Tyler drama is amazing, you couldnt write this shit. Wait, yes you could, it was called “Star Wars”. That was a pretty creative movie.

VeloBella, I think guys stay in a situation like that because its a rock and hard place for them – and their dreams have shoehorned them in there real good and tight.

Kudos Bars to Cipo for coming outta retirement and not prepping with HGH and some good old fashioned blood boosting. Im sure the nostalgic feelings for the good ole days tugged at him, but Bravo my Freaky glam cro-mag superstar friend, bravo.

    No apologies. Yours, T. B. P.

  7. Let’s face it. Many riders would race for nothing if they had a chance to race the big events even if it means being a Rock-tard.

  8. will race for jeans…..

    and hats…..

and pointy boots that look like the heals are wore down and they have been sitting in a backyard for 5 years but still cost over $400….

and lil boy t’s that come with pre drilled holes and that worn look that seems to only be missing the truck driver coffee stain…..

everybody wants to be one of the cool kids…

I love them all though, america is all about media hype. If this team leaves next year, they will still be talked about forever, but if they keep this storm going for a few years it could take the world of cycling by storm and who knows, Boonen could be the Beckham of tomorrow outside of Belgium, there are prob a few spice girls left for him to chose from….

Sterling will always be cool in my book, no matter who he rides for…..
